Coffee + the BEST

From the 24 ~ 27 at COEX is having place the
CAFE SHOW 2011
I went today to appreciate all the stands and to taste the best coffees in the world.

At first  I thought that the event wasn't popular as well but when I arrived there were TONS of people doing line to get in. The entrance fee is 10,000won.
Is just one day remaining but if you have the opportunity to visit COEX during the Sunday you should go and taste the best coffees.

Actually, I need to mention that the main reason for me to visit the exposition was to meet  the best barista  in the world. He is a Salvadoran Guy; yes, from my country. He is the actual champion and came to Korea to impart one seminar about new techniques.
If you go to COEX  you will  able to taste The CAFE  from El Salvador.

The Salvadoran CAFE  is a Gourmet CAFE. The price is really high. I asked how much then the marketing en charged told me one AMERICANO around 7,000 ~ 8,000won depending of the place. So that's why is difficult to find  Salvadorean coffee in Korea but in this exhibition you can taste it for free.

INTERNATIONAL CULTURAL FESTIVAL

Saturday night at  Inha University we could appreciate the
 INTERNATIONAL CULTURAL FESTIVAL.

was a really nice opportunity to see people from different countries dancing, doing magic and also teaching the cultural differences between countries.

There were two acts that mark the difference between cultures during the event.
  •  One was the Malaysians's act.
They performed a traditional dancing and for this they dressed up too; the thing I particularly loved was the song's rhythm maybe because I've never had the chance to listen this kind of song until now.

After the performance I got the opportunity to talk with one of the members and she told that the song is normally danced for a PRINCE; that is why in the picture we can see people in the middle and some people around them.

Because  the song's meaning and the way they dressed up we could feel the difference in the cultures.

  • Second one was the Chinese's act
They performed a dance but this was using a Korean popular song. ( I am the best by 2ne1). They dressed up too and showed us a really good choreography  doing some special movements and having a good synchronization during all the song. I think they  practiced a lot he choreography.

At the end of the event the stuff gave a present to one student (picking one number from a box); the price was an IPAD 2 unfortunately wasn't me the winner, anyway was a good experience to know about different cultures.

The Lantern Festival.

A Weekend  had past already and that means a lot of things happened in Seoul.

Lanter Festival  is a very famous festival that has place every year ( this was the 3rd one in a row). The highlights of this festival were an 18-meter lantern tunnel made up over 3,000 Cheongsachorong (traditional Korean Lanterns with a red-and-blue silk shade). Also People were able to appreciate lanterns of popular animated characters including Batman, Spider man, Superman, etc.

This weekend was the last of the Lantern Festival and the place was  really crowded; between Korean and foreigners we could enjoy a really good  atmosphere. The people were taking a lot of pictures and  also talking about about the most stylish and the less one lantern.

Lantern Festival is always giving good memories to all the who visit Seoul on this time. So if one time you come to Korea, please do not hesitate and come to watch the Lanter festival.
